The Jubilee is an authentic six-piece vintage jazz band based in Javea, Spain which performs in restaurants, jazz clubs, town hall concerts and private functions. At the moment most performances are at Monroe's Carvery in Pedreguer. Here you can find out exactly where it plays, what it plays and maybe even why it plays! What The Jubilee Plays
As everyone knows, jazz originated in New Orleans, but it is now a worldwide music, and is played and developed very successfully in many countries. As a traditional jazz band, the Jubilee plays a lot of the early New Orleans & Chicago repertoire, including marches, blues and rags, but also plays some slightly later jazz too, including songs by George Gerschwin, Walter Donaldson, Fats Waller and Duke Ellington.
