Espai La Senieta
The latest concerts at "Espai La Senieta" in Moraira on 19th January 2013 and the "Palau" in Altea on 28th December 2012 had full houses. The Teulada-Moraira Lions Club actually sold all the seats for the Senieta concert.
The Jubilee Jazz Band's return to Monroe's Carvery on 18th September was a big success. The band looks forward to tonight's event at the same venue. And soon the band's new CD will be on sale. On 28th December there will be an important concert at the Palau in Altea.  Marilyn, the star at Monroe's Carvery! Like many bands The Jubilee Jazz Band has had to put its main residency on hold for the time being because there are few real jazz fans still on the coast during the summer. The last session at Monroe's Carvery in Pedreguer was on Tuesday 10th July. The band will return there on 18th September 2012, with a view to performing every second Tuesday, from 8pm until 10:30pm. Meanwhile the band does have a few other gigs to offer in July, and maybe in August. Please see the CALENDAR. A press cutting of the concert on 16th March in Alcoy has been uncovered. Here it is! 
   The Jubilee Jazz Band returns to the Casa de Cultura in Alcoy to perform in a concert and live recording session on 16th March 2012. The last performance there by this band was two years ago and it went down very well. See painting/poster below. [Painting by Raúl Botella] 
  A large and impressive collection of big band LPs is being sold by John Lang. Here is his announcement: 1) The complete Franklin Mint Archive (Red Vinyl ) Collection of the Big Band Era. This comprises 25 boxes ; each containing 4 LP records plus their corresponding background booklets. All are in first class condition with the majority never having been played. 2 ) Additionally I have in similar condition the Time Life collection of "The Swing Era ". This is 12 boxes , each containing 3 vinyl LP records plus notes. Both collections are for sale for 200 euros (No Offers Please ). Camping El Naranjal, Javea, 9pm Reservations: 609.30.41.18 With various musicians on holiday recently, we have been taking advantage of the opportunity to present some nice guest artists at Monroe's Carvery in Pedreguer. This week (Tuesday 6th September) we will feature Roy Hubbard (clarinet) and John Hutchings (trombone). They are coming all the way from near Torrevieja. Meanwhile, Pat Clancy returns on piano and Nigel Clegg does his second performance with us on drums. Mike Summers (trumpet) and Rene Dossin (double bass) complete the line-up.  On Tuesday 23rd August The Jubilee Jazz Band performed with several guest artists: Werner Kitzig (clarinet, not pictured) Javi Blanquer (drums) and Ted Brown (banjo). Rene Dossin recently joined the band on double bass, but on this occasion he was featured playing the sousaphone. Javi himself was called out last minute because Nigel Clegg (the drummer advertised) was indisposed. The guest musicians fitted in vary admirably, so it was another happy evening on the terrace of Monroe's Carvery, Pedreguer. Keen fans might notice that it was too hot to wear the usual uniform.
